There is no pressure for treatments as he teaches that changes to the body often take time in order to effect long term healing and lifestyle modifications. I have been to many different medical practitioners for my back issues throughout my life with a variety of results. Upon coming to Anacortes I was concerned about finding someone who could treat me when pain occurred. At the first visit to Dr Kelley I noted that the approach was quite different than any I had previously experienced. There was no rush to fix, and the explanation was considered and thoughtful producing a very satisfactory outcome. I have since begun a monthly maintenance program along with a series of exercises suggested by Dr Kelley, and my whole body is becoming more flexible. your body as needed. I first went to Dr Bob Kelley as I need a Chiropractor in Anacortes. He first diagnosed me with one leg being about 0.5 inches longer than the other. Later in 2023, my hip locked up and he unstuck it and got me in 4 x that week in June to get me moving including disk decompression therapy. I had a very speedy recovery thanks to Dr. Bob Kelley. In 48 hours I went from barely moving to being able to slowly start to move with treatment, ice and anti inflammatory together.

He is by far the most thorough, friendly, communicative and educational chiropractor I have ever received treatment from. I had taken a fall backwards and had a concussion, stiff neck, cracked ribs, sore shoulder and hip. Dr Kelley did miracles for my neck and shoulder and hip. He is making me orthotics for my feet and I am confident he will improve my feet issues also. Dr. Bob Kelley is the real deal. Not only is Dr. Bob himself personable with a great sense of humor, but he is also very knowledgeable in his field. Having at first presented with a very tight iliotibial band - this caused by one leg being quite a bit shorter than the other - I found that within two treatments I was able to sleep all night, without having to swallow obscene loads of Aleve. After forty years of chronic pain, that in itself is a complete miracle to me! Dr. Kelley is simply the best - his passion for his work often overflows into his everyday conversation, proving how much he enjoys seeing people get well...and my husband and I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else anymore.

(Dr. Bob) Robert Kelley has been absolutely AMAZING and is simply a WONDERFUL human being!!! I believe it was fortuitous that I should need chiropractor care while my existing chiropractor (back in May 2019) was temporarily unavailable - that was how I met Bob. While I had previously been obtaining very regular chiropractic care (once weekly) elsewhere, when Bob examined me, he said my neck seemed locked up like that of someone 30 YEARS OLDER than me! I was shocked! I couldn't believe it. How could that be? But - then I noticed he adjusted my neck differently than any other chiropractor had and he assessed me for potential leg length difference.
I have seen probably 10 different chiropractors since 2005. As a layperson, to me it seems Bob utilizes the best concepts of the upper cervical chiropractic approach, while still remembering to address the rest of the spine & whole body through a wide variety of different techniques. My neck is doing SO MUCH better and I simply do not know what I would do without Bob.
What I love most about Bob's approach is that 1) He genuinely CARES and it shows! 2) He pays close attention and assesses my neck/spine's condition each and every time and does't just 'do the same routine on everyone' every visit like a lot of chiropractors do.
I believe we are all unique in our conditions and we all in flux and I believe it takes a very SPECIAL, well-educated, open-minded, and dedicated Chiropractor to deliver what is best for the patient each and every time. That is what Bob delivers.

I was seen by Dr. Robert Kelley at Gateway Chiropractic. Hands down, best Chiropractor you will ever visit. He adjusted my hips and neck which is pretty normal for chiropractors, but he also got my shoulder moving properly again along with my knee and ankle which had been bothering me.
My 11 year old daughter has been complaining about ankle pain after running at school (weekly for the entire year) and then this past weekend weekend skiing her knee also started hurting her, Dr. Kelley found that her knee was locked up and after her adjustment she felt immediately better. He found she was also in need of orthotics to help with the ankle pain she had been suffering after every run in PE in school, we have had them now for two weeks and she hasn't complained of soreness or pain since. Highly recommend Dr. Kelley.

I have seen Dr Kelley several times for chronic back pain following two back surgeries. His treatments have always been very effective and he has suggested certain exercises which have been very helpful. I am glad he is practicing in Anacortes, I plan to continue seeing him.

I've been seeing Dr. Kelley since he purchased the practice from the previous doctor. In the many years that I have been treated by numerous chiropractic practitioners, Dr. Kelley is by far the most thorough and capable doctor I have seen to date. Due to my travel schedule, he is always able to accommodate my last-minute appointment requests. Unlike other chiropractors that I have seen, Dr. Kelley always takes the time for a quality assessment, followed by the proper manipulative adjustments...he is truly the best and I highly recommend his services!

Dr. Kelley is the best!
He has a very intuitive feel for what is wrong in the body and is able to improve things that no one else has for me. He is also very flexible in terms of scheduling and last minute changes--I live on Lopez Island and the ferries are a mess these days, but he always manages to work me in.
